Change is inevitable. But we can influence change to make it work in our favor.
The Carroll County my grandfather knew was very different from my father’s Carroll County, and the Carroll County of today is almost unrecognizable compared to the quiet, rural community where I grew up.
Our county will continue to change. But we can determine what that change looks like. Through careful zoning practices that adhere to our county’s comprehensive plan and recommitting ourselves to the distinct agrarian nature of our district, we can ensure that property owners are able to use their land as they will while preserving a unique posterity for our own children and grandchildren.

That’s why I’m running for re-election to the District 4 seat on the Carroll County Board of Commissioners. I believe that our county is destined for greater things than back-to-back subdivisions and strip malls. I believe that we can influence change with an eye toward preservation and a respect for property rights, to move our county into the future with careful, intelligent growth.
